Care and Maintenance IMPORTANT : DO NOT PERFORM MAINTENANCE OR CLEANING OF THE EXTRACTOR WITHOUT FIRST SWITCHING OFF THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY. Cleaning You should use a nonabrasive cleaner. Any abrasive cleaner (including Cif) will scratch the surface and could erase the control panel markings. Installation Your extractor can be used to filter and recycle the air within your kitchen, or to extract the air outside. When extracting air to the outside, the unit can be vented as shown in the diagram below. Note that we recommend the use of ducting with a diameter of 150mm. Ducting with diameters of 100mm or 120mm may be used, but performance will be reduced. Installation The extractor is mounted using five screws. Ensure that the wall fixings and screws are suitable for the wall material. Mark the positions of the five holes on the wall, according to (fig 6). Insert five wall plugs into the holes A and B (fig. 7) and fix four screws into holes A corresponding to the keyholed positions on the extractor so that they are protruding from the wall by approximately 5mm. Using the extractor as a recirculation device Prise off the vent outlet cover using a screwdriver, as shown in fig 12 and assemble as shown in fig 13. Connect the ring to the extractor and refit the top cover panel as shown in figure 14. Note that charcoal filters are not required when the unit is to be operating in this manner. Fig. 14 8
