Preparing for Use Installing remote control batteries 1. On the back of the remote, slide open the battery compartment (Figure 1). 2. Insert the two supplied AA (IEC-R6) 1.5V batteries, or their equivalent, as shown. Match the plus (+) and minus (–) marked on the batteries with the plus (+) and minus (–) inside the battery compartment. 3. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place. English Preparing for Use To control the TV 1. Turn on both the 3•2•1 system and your TV. 2. Press and hold the Program and TV On/Off buttons (shown on the left) for 3 seconds. Preparing for Use Getting familiar with the added functions Buttons on the remote control are grouped according to function. Most of the buttons work just like the 3•2•1 system remote buttons. The advanced functionality is highlighted below. POWER and MUTE controls Switches the system on or off. Switches the TV on or off. Does not turn cable box or satellite box on or off.
