Connect the HDMI or DVI (with a DVI to HDMI adapter or cable) source device to the 1:10 Splitter For HDMI 1.3 HDMI input port using the supplied HDMI cable. 2. EDID MANAGEMENT EDID Mode Selection 1. EXTERNAL MODE: To use this mode, move the EDID switch to the Ext position. See page 8 for details on using the External EDID. 2. EDID MANAGEMENT External EDID Management The 1:10 Splitter For HDMI 1.3 features EDID Management. Before the source can send video or audio signals, the source device reads the EDID (Extended Display Identifi cation Data) from the output devices connected to the Splitter. The EDID contains information about what type of A/V data that the source can send to each output device. The 1:10 Splitter For HDMI 1.3 distributes a single source to multiple output devices.
