INSTALLING AND CONNECTING 1. Connect one end of the phone line cord [23] to the phone line jack [20] on the base unit [15] and the other end to the phone line socket. 2. Insert the AC adapter [22] cable plug into its jack [21] on the base unit [15], insert the AC adapter [22] cable plug into the wall socket of your electric mains supply (220V AC). 3. Setting Tone or Pulse dialing mode Your telephone can operate in the pulse or tone modes. Selection of the mode depends on the automatic exchange type. Usually digital automatic exchanges use the Tone mode, while analog automatic exchanges use the Pulse mode. If you set the Tone mode when operating with an analog automatic exchange, then your telephone will be able to receive calls, but unable to dial a number. 1. Muting your conversation During the conversation you may switch off the microphone. The caller will not hear you in this case. 1. Press the Microphone Off button [4] to switch the microphone off. 2.
