Model 2160 Series User Manual About this guide Preventing Electrostatic Discharge Damage When starting to install interface cards place the interface card on its shielded plastic bag if you lay it on your bench. Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) can damage equipment and impair electrical circuitry. It occurs when electronic printed circuit cards are improperly handled and can result in complete or intermittent failures. Always follow ESD prevention procedures when removing and replacing cards.
