This document provides the removal and installation procedures for the power supply modules used with
the Catalyst 3750-E, the Catalyst 3560-E switches, and the Cisco Redundant Power System 2300
(RPS 2300).

Power Supply Module Installation Installing a DC-Power Supply (Only Catalyst 3750-E and 3560-E Switches) To connect the switch to a DC-input power source, follow these steps: 1. Power Supply Module Installation Grounding the Switch Warning This equipment must be grounded. Never defeat the ground conductor or operate the equipment in the absence of a suitably installed ground conductor. Contact the appropriate electrical inspection authority or an electrician if you are uncertain that suitable grounding is available. Statement 1024 Warning When installing or replacing the unit, the ground connection must always be made first and disconnected last. Statement 1046 C

FR F Power Supply Module Installation Step 5 Use the ground screw to attach the single-ground lug and wire assembly or the dual-ground adaptor to the switch rear panel. Using a ratcheting torque screwdriver, torque the ground-lug screw to 60 lbf-in. (960 ozf-in.) (Figure 10). Technical Specifications Step 4 Torque all terminal block screws to 5 lbf-in. (80 ozf-in.). Step 5 Replace the terminal block plastic safety cover, and torque the screw to 10 lbf-in. (160 ozf-in.).
