Introduction About this Manual PA 300 This manual contains information about the Extron PA 300 peaking amplifi er, and includes information on how to install, operate and troubleshoot the unit. About the PA 300 The PA 300 is an ultra high performance RGB peaking amplifi er capable of driving a 1600 x 1200 resolution computer signal over 600 feet using Extron Mini HR cables, or 1000 feet using Extron RG6 cable. Installation and Operation, cont’d Cabling Front Panel Features The PA 300 is specifi cally designed for long cable run applications. For best results, install the amplifi er close to the signal source and drive a long cable to the display. GAIN PEAKING LF HF The input of the PA 300 is on BNC connectors. If the source PA 300 PEAKING AMPLIFIER output uses a 15-pin HD connector, use an Extron SYM BNCM cable (Extron part #26-533-xx) to make the connection. See the 1 2 3 illustration below.
