Before connecting the scanner to your computer, follow the steps below to make sure the scanner is operating properly. 1. Slide the transportation lock to the right; this releases the scanner carriage. 2. Locate the AC adapter and power cord supplied with your scanner. Connect the power

The lamp comes back on when you scan. Unplug the scanner when you have finished using it.
