ASSEMBLING TABLE TO SAW 1. If your saw has a right extension wing, front and rear guide rails, they must be removed. 2. Lay the table upside down on the floor or bench, as shown in Fig. 4. Fig. 4 3. ASSEMBLING UNIFENCE GUIDE RAIL TO TABLE C 1. Locate the Guide Rail and mounting hardware from the packing material of the Unifence. 2. The guide rail has end caps inserted into each end of the rail. Remove the right end cap (B) Fig. 20, by inserting a flathead screwdriver (C) into the channel in front of the guide rail and press outward against the inside of the end B cap (B) as shown. ASSEMBLING FENCE TO UNIFENCE BODY C 1. The fence (A) can be assembled to clamp plate (B) in either the horizontal position as shown in Fig. 38, or the A vertical position as shown in Fig. 39. RIPPING WITH THE A UNIFENCE Ripping is the operation of making a lengthwise cut through a board, as shown in Fig. 46, and the rip fence (A) is used to position and guide the work. One edge of the work rides against the rip fence while the flat side of the board rests on the table. Since the work is pushed along the fence, it must have a straight edge and make solid contact with the table. The saw blade guard must be used. USING AUXILIARY WOOD FACING ON THE UNIFENCE It is necessary when performing special operations such as when using the moulding cutterhead to add wood A facing (A) Fig. 59, to one side of the rip fence as shown.
