System Contents Your D940 Remote Control Signal Sender consists of two units (Extension Unit and Base Unit) and an infrared extender. Extension Unit The Extension Unit senses the Infrared signals from your remote control and an LED lights to indicate that signals are being detected. The Extension Unit converts the remote con- trol signals into radio frequency transmissions for communication with the Base Unit. How to Set-Up 1.Plug the Base Unit power cord into standard electrical outlet. 2.Point the front of the Unit (logo side) facing the DSS Receiver. Extend the antenna for best performance. 3.Check the following distances • Base Unit is within 20 feet of DSS Receiver. • Base Unit is within 100 feet of Extension Unit. Troubleshooting 1. Make sure both units are plugged into a standard electrical outlet. 2.
