MFP Driver To use the machine as your printer, or scanner, or to send or receive electronic faxes, you must install the MFP driver. SmarThru Software The SmarThru software contains: ScanThru It lets you scan documents and images quickly and easily. With the ScanThru, you can set image type and resolution for the scanner, adjust brightness and contrast, perform a color correction, and so on. Install Bonus Software (Acrobat Reader 3.xx) 1. Insert the SmarThru CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. The SmarThru installation program will begin. Printer Settings You can use your machine with all your Windows 3.x or Windows 9x, or Windows NT applications. Be sure to set your printer as the default printer for all your Windows operations. 2 Printing Print Quality Tab This tab allows you to specify the print resolution. In general, higher resolution looks better but takes longer to print and requires more memory. Scanning the Image This section describes the basic procedures for scanning with a TWAIN-compliant image editing application. 1. Turn on your machine and PC, then start Windows. 2.
