1 Introduction About This Manual ® This manual lists the ANSI commands and explains how to configure the printer when this emulation is loaded in your printer. Audience This book assumes you are an experienced programmer and are familiar with the ANSI emulation. Chapter 1 Installing Printer Emulations Font Typefaces. Also referred to as print modes. The five typefaces include Near Letter Quality (NLQ), Data Processing (DP), High Speed (HS), OCR A, and OCR B. Character Sets. Fifty-one character sets are available. You can print the character sets in the different print modes. Bar codes. Downloading Software Through the Serial or Parallel Port Downloading Software Through the Serial or Parallel Port 1. Make a printout of all saved configurations.
