The LA36N and LA36W Model Specifications The main difference between the LA36N and the LA36W is the “print span”. The LA36N is an 80-column printer and the LA36W a 136-column printer. Paper Handling Printer Acoustical Feed-Backs Except for paper handling and when the factory setting for beep is not changed, the printer beeps in the following ways when you press a control panel button, as follows. A short beep indicates that the printer accepts your pressing or specification. A longer beep indicates that your specification is invalid.
