Remove any descriptive labels that may be found on either the front or top cabinet of the unit. Do not remove any labels located on either the back or bottom cabinet of the unit. Remove the battery compartment door by sliding the battery compartment open. Insert 8 ‘C’ size (UM-2) batteries into the battery compartment as shown in the figure below.
