Read the differences between them and select the disc that best fits your needs. DVD-R Best for Compatibility DVD-Rs can be recorded only once – you cannot edit or delete the recordings. When you use a DVD, the camcorder will automatically record on the empty space of the disc. So you don't have to worry about mistakenly recording over a precious memory.
