POWER SOURCE This AM/FM STEREO CD Cassette Recorder operates on 8 x ‘LR14’ (‘C’) batteries (not included) or from AC 120V~ 60Hz line power supply. A. BATTERY OPERATION 1. Remove the Battery Door. 2. Following the polarity diagram as shown in the battery compartment insert 8 x ‘LR14’ (‘C') batteries then replace the Battery Door. IMPORTANT : Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly. CD PLAYER OPERATION Note: This player not only plays commercial CDs but also plays self-compiled CD-R/RW discs. 1. Set the Function/ Power Switch (# 19) to "CD" position. The player will display “- -”. 2. Open the CD LID by pressing the CD OPEN Button (# 3). Carefully place an audio CD, with its label side upward, in the CD compartment and close the CD Door. 3. The total number of tracks on the CD will appear in the LCD Display (# 14) after a few seconds. 4. Press the CD PLAY/PAUSE

Note on CD-R/RW discs - Because of non-standardized format definition/ production of CD-R/RW, playback quality and performance are not guaranteed. - Manufacturer is not responsible for the playability of CD-R/RW due to recording conditions, such as PC performance, writing software, media ability, etc. - Do not attach a seal or label to either side of the CD-R/RW disc. CASSETTE TAPE OPERATING TIPS 1. High quality tapes are recommended to obtain maximum quality reproduction from recordings. 2. Tapes with playing time of 120 minutes (C-120) are not recommended because they contain thinner and longer tape that has a greater chance to malfunction and jam, which may damage the cassette mechanism. 3. To obtain good reproduction, the head should be cleaned after every 10 to 20 hours of use. It is also recommended that the cassette be kept away from excessive he
