Chapter 1 Before You Get Started Preparing to Use the Calculator Before using your calculator for the first time, you must reset it and adjust its contrast. Resetting the calculator 1. Press the RESET switch located on the back of the calculator with the tip of a ball- point pen or similar object. Chapter 1: Before You Get Started The Hard Case Your calculator comes with a hard case to protect the keyboard and display when the calculator is not in use. Before using the calculator, remove the hard case and slide it onto the back as shown to avoid losing it.
