In Windows Vista and Windows 7, the Windows Update screen appears. Click view available updates and make sure all critical updates are selected. Protecting the Software To protect the software from loss or damage, keep a backup copy of all system software, applications, and related files stored on the hard drive. Refer to the operating system or backup utility documentation for instructions on making backup copies of your data files. 1. In Windows Explorer, go to C:\SWSetup\ISOs and burn the file Vision Diagnostics.ISO to a CD or copy it to a USB flash drive. 2. While the computer is on, insert the CD in the Optical Drive or USB flash drive in a USB port on the computer. 3. Shut down the operating system and turn off the computer. 4. Turn on the computer. Depending on the operating system, pressing the power button may cause the computer to enter a low-power or “standby” state instead of automatically turning the power off.
