Chapter 2 Installation 2 This Chapter covers the physical installation of the LevelOne Wireless Broadband Router. Requirements • Network cable - standard 10/100BaseT network (UTP) cable with RJ45 connectors. • TCP/IP protocol must be installed on all PCs. • For Internet Access, an Internet Access account with an ISP, and either of: • A DSL or Cable modem (for WAN port usage) • An analog modem or ISDN TA (for Serial port usage -- LevelOne WBR-1100TX only) • To use the Wireless Acces

Installation 1. Choose an Installation Site Select a suitable place on the network to install the LevelOne Wireless Broadband Router. Ensure the LevelOne Wireless Broadband Router and the DSL/Cable modem are powered OFF. For best Wireless reception and performance, the Access Point should be positioned in a central location with mini- mum obstructions between the Access Point and the PCs. Also, if using multiple Access Points, adjacent Access Points should use different Channels.
