Chapter 2 Connecting the Router 2.1 Building Network Connection Please follow the instructions below to build the network connection between the Router and your computers, as well as network devices: Step 1 Connect your DSL / cable modem to the WAN port of router with an Ethernet cable. Step 2 Connect all your computers, network devices (network-enabled consumer devices other than computers, such as game console, or switch / hub) to the LAN ports of the router. 9

Step 3 Connect the A/C power adapter to the electrical outlet, and then connect it to the ‘Power’ socket of the router. Please check all LEDs on the front panel. ‘POWER’ LED should be steadily on, WAN and LAN LEDs should be on if the computer / network devices connected to the respective ports of the router are powered on and correctly connected. 10

The LAN Interface settings allow you to configure the parameters for local area network. Parameter Description IP Address This is the router’s local port IP address (Your LAN clients default gateway IP address). The default IP Address is ‘192.168.2.1’.
