1. Introduction 1. Introduction The USB Serial Adapter provides a standard serial interface to a PC equipped with USB without requiring an add-in card. By default, the USB Serial Adapter ® installs without taking up any resources. 3.3. Adding DOS Box Support (Optional) DOS Box support for the USB Serial Adapter is useful if you intend to use DOS ® applications, but not necessary for Windows applications.
