Preface Preface About This Manual This manual is written for professional system integrators and PC technicians. It pro- vides information for the installation and use of the SuperServer 5014C-MF. Instal- lation and maintainance should be performed by experienced technicians only. The SuperServer 5014C-MF is a high-end single processor 1U rackmount server based on the SC513L-260 server chassis and the Super P8SCT motherboard. Below are the main features of the P8SCT. Chapter 1: Introduction 1-3 Server Chassis Features The SuperServer 5014C-MF is built on the SC513L-260 1U rackmount server chassis. The SC513L-260 features a unique design that places all I/O ports at the front of the chassis for easy access. The following is a general outline of the main features of the SC513L-260 chassis. SUPERSERVER 5014C-MF User's Manual Cooling System The SC513L-260 chassis has an innovative cooling design that features one 10-cm blower-type system cooling fan. The blower fan plugs into a chassis fan header on the motherboard and an air shroud channels the airfl ow to effi ciently cool the processor area.
