1 Introduction This chapter provides an overview of the IMAQ PCI/PXI-1428 image acquisition device, the Camera Link standard, Camera Link and IMAQ 1428 interfacing guidelines, and your software programming choices. Chapter 1 Introduction The RTSI bus uses the National Instruments RTSI bus interface and ribbon cable to route additional timing and trigger signals between the PCI-1428 and up to four National Instruments DAQ, motion control, or IMAQ devices. Chapter 2 Installation Clean the device and accessories by brushing off light dust with a soft, nonmetallic brush. Remove other contaminants with a stiff, nonmetallic brush. The unit must be completely dry and free from contaminants before returning it to service. You must insulate signal connections for the maximum voltage for which the device is rated. Do not exceed the maximum ratings for the device. Remove power from signal lines before connection to or disconnection from the device.
