The D4 channel bank is a T1 digital carrier system that was introduced in the mid seventies and is still widely used by telcos. Chapter 1. Introduction The TSU 600 serves as the link between user data sources such as local area network (LAN) bridges and routers, computers, CAD systems, teleconferencing equipment, and PBXs. Through the use of multiple data ports, the TSU 600 can simultaneously connect one or more of these devices to a T1 circuit. The amount of bandwidth allocated to each port is custom programmable. The bandwidth allocation can be changed manually or set to automatically change at predetermined times
