DASH DISASSEMBLY 99-7870 HONDA RIDGELINE 2005-2010 A 1 Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 2 Unclip and remove entire panel sur- rounding radio and a/c control all the way over to left side of steering wheel. (Figure A) 3 Remove (5) Phillips screws securing B the radio and pocket assembly. (Figure B) Remove (2) Phillips screws (1 per 4 side) securing factory pocket to radio/pocket bracket assembly. (Figure A) 2 Slide the head unit into the radio opening until the side clips engage. (Figure B) Snap the trim plate into the Radio 3 B Housing. (Figure B) 4

99-7870 KIT ASSEMBLY FINAL ASSEMBLY Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash and make the connection as shown. 1 Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter and making the connections as shown. (Isolate and individually tape off the ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.)
