4 Logitech® Before You Begin If you already have a wireless or ethernet network and a computer to use as a server, setting up your Squeezebox Duet should take about 30 minutes. To make the set up as simple as possible, there are a few things you should do. 16 Logitech® Bridged Network Configuration This configuration should only be used if you do not have a wireless network in your home. Your Squeezebox Receiver will be connected to your wired ethernet network, and Squeezebox Controller will use an ad-hoc connection to the Receiver for it’s network connection. Note: Ad-hoc connections on 802.11 wireless networks have much lower range than regular connections (called infrastructure mode connections). If at all possible, consider adding an 8
