PREPARATION CHARGING THE Ni-MH BATTERY PACK The battery pack is not charged at the factory; charge it before use. The initial charging of the battery pack after purchase or extended storage (greater than 2 months) will not bring the battery pack to its normal operating capacity. After repeating the charge/discharge cycle 2 or 3 times, the operating capacity will increase to normal. ◆ Do not recharge the battery pack if it is already fully charged. Doing so may cause the life of the battery pack

SCAN Scan is useful for monitoring signals on the transceiver channels. When scanning, the transceiver checks for a signal on each channel and only stops if a signal is present. The transceiver will remain on a busy channel until the signal is no longer present. Your dealer programs the delay time between signal drop-out and Scan resumption.
