Proper Frame Sizing Standover Height Most K2 Bike frames are offered in four sizes. We design our bikes with as low of a standover height as possible. When sizing a frame, a minimum of three inches of clearance between the rider's crotch and the top tube of the bicycle is required. This room is needed due to the uneven terrain encountered when riding off road. The three inches should allow you to hop off of the pedals and straddle the top tube safely in a panic situation. Preload Preload is the amount of load placed on a spring to increase the spring rate in the initial part of the travel. All of our shocks feature adjustable preload. 3. Loosen and unscrew the main pivot bolt six or seven turns. Tap on the head of the bolt with a plastic hammer to push out the left hand pivot axle. 4. Remove the pivot axle bolt and thread it into the left hand pivot axle. Use the bolt to pull the axle out. 5.
