Your OmniBook has several features that save battery power when the ac adapter isn’t connected. The most obvious of these is automatic shutdown—when your OmniBook has been idle for 3 minutes with no ac power, it turns itself off automatically. The ac adapter is normally warm to the touch whenever it’s plugged into an ac outlet. The OmniBook is normally warm while it’s charging—don’t charge it in a briefcase or other small space. Hints • To get the longest battery operating time, allow the battery to charge fully—until the battery symbol in the Status Panel fills completely.
