OPERATION THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR RIDGID NICKEL-CADMIUM BATTERY PACKS AND CHARGERS. Battery packs for this tool are shipped in a low charge condition to prevent possible problems. Therefore, you should charge the pack until the light on the front of the charger changes from flashing green to continuous green. NOTE: Batteries will not reach full charge the first time they are charged. Allow several cycles (operation followed by recharging) for them to become fully charged. This

OPERATION TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK See Figure 7. Place the battery pack in the impact driver, aligning raised rib on battery pack with groove in the driver’s battery port. Make sure the latches on each side of the battery pack snap into place and the battery pack is secured to the impact driver before beginning operation. OPERATION DIRECTION OF ROTATION SELECTOR DIRECTION OF ROTATION SELECTOR (FORWARD/REVERSE/CENTER LOCK) See Figure 9. The direction of bit rotation is reversible and is controlled by REVERSE a selector located above the switch trigger. With the impact driver held in normal operating position, the direction of rotation selector should be positioned to the left of the switch trigger for driving.
