OPEN Inserting a battery Insert 2 AA dry batteries (supplied) (Sony AA alkaline batteries or nickel hydrogen rechargable batteries recommended) 1 Slide the cover down and lift open. 2 Insert 2 AA dry batteries. Other functions MARK button POWER ON/OFF STANDBY switch MARK function The MARK function records your current location. When you press the MARK button, a beep is emitted, then positioning information (date, hour, latitude and longitude) of your current location is recorded in the memory of this unit. CLEAR STANDBY mode When you slide the POWER ON/OFF STANDBY switch to the STANDBY position, a beep is emitted, and the blinking interval of the GPS/BATT LED is longer than usual.
