TANDBERG Videoconferencing System W.A.V.E. Camera The Main Camera is mounted on top of the monitor. The Main Camera includes a high quality color camera with a fast pan/tilt/zoom action. The ideal location for the microphone is on a flat surface at least 2m (6.5 ft) from the front of the system. The microphone cable should always point towards the system. Never install telephone jacks in wet locations unless the jack is specifically designed for wet locations. Installation TANDBERG Videoconferencing System Unpacking the Base Due to the weight of the system, the base should be placed in its permanent location as soon as it is unpacked. IF THE SYSTEM IS TO BE PLACED AGAINST A WALL, IT IS POSSIBLE TO REDUCE THE SIZE OF THE BOTTOM PLATE. THE REDUCTION SHOULD BE DONE NOTE BEFORE THE REST OF THE INSTALLATION IS CARRIED OUT. Remove the plastic plugs located on the back of the monitor(s). Check to see where the holes in the Monitor Rack are located. Take the monitor(s) and place it (them) inside the Monitor Rack. Installation TANDBERG Videoconferencing System Connecting cables All cables needed in standard configuration are connected to the codec. Connect these cables to the other parts of the system: 1. Power cable Connect the system power cable to an electrical distribution socket. 2. Monitor cables Connect the 2 BNC (Y/C input at the monitor), the 9 pin DSUB and the power cable to the input on your monitor. Monitor configuration Power up the codec and the monitors. Use the monitor remote control to set the monitors to Y/C. TIP ATTACH THE POUCH FOR THE REMOTE CONTROL TO THE BACK OF ONE OF THE MONITORS.
