Installing the television set Positioning the television set Place your TV on a solid, stable surface. 16:9 Formats The pictures you r e c e i ve may be transmitted in 16:9 format (wide screen) or 4:3 format (conv e n t i o n a l s c re e n ) .4:3 pictures sometimes have a black band at the top and bottom of the screen (letterbox f o r m a t ) . Connecting peripheral equipment The television has 2 external sockets situated at the back of the set (EXT1 and EXT2). The EXT1 socket has audio and video inputs/outputs and RGB inputs.
