The installing plumber and electrician are responsible for ensuring that installation complies with applicable laws and regulations. 12 Using your dishwasher Notes: We do not recommend opening the dishwasher door when a wash programme is running. If you need to open the door, see ‘Pausing a wash programme’ for instructions on pausing and resuming a wash programme. Take care when you open the door as there may be a rush of steam. 90 seconds after starting a wash programme, the display will dim itself to save energy. 14 Using your dishwasher Wash progess display As the wash programme advances through the cycle, the following can be displayed on the screen: Display What’s happening The dishwasher is removing food from the WASHING dishes and detergent is dispensed. 15 Using your dishwasher Warning displays The dishwasher can alert you to some problems. 16 Wash programme chart The dishwasher will detect the degree of soiling during washing and will automatically determine the best temperature, time and water quantity for that particular load. Your dishwasher can run five different programme structures based on how soiled the dishes are. 17 Loading the dishwasher Loading tips Remove all food scraps from dishes before loading them into the dishwasher. Cups, glasses and bowls must have their openings facing downwards. Dishes and cutlery should not be placed above each other. Place glasses so they do not touch each other. Ensure the spray arms can rotate freely. 18 Loading the dishwasher Using the cutlery basket The cutlery basket can be split into three sections and its grid inserts may also be removed. The smaller cutlery basket sections also fit in the upper basket (as shown in Fig. 21). Place long items such as ladles, cooking spoons etc. on the cup racks of the lower or upper basket.
