6/ FILLING WITH REGENERATING SALT • Filling with regenerating salt (Fig 06) Filling with salt is essential for providing a good wash without marks. It regenerates the resins that soften the water, by removing its lime content (unless the mains water supply is soft enough). Refer to “Setting the water sof- tener”.
