Quick Start Basics What you can do with your CASIO camera Your CASIO camera is packed with a powerful selection of features and functions to make recording of digital images easier, including the following five main functions. Changing the Camera Style to Suit Shooting Conditions You can change the configuration of the camera by opening or closing the frame and rotating the monitor screen panel to suit shooting conditions. IMPORTANT! • Do not apply strong pressure to the surface of the monitor screen. Doing so can damage it. • Never touch the lens with your fingers. Finger smudges, dirt, and other foreign matter on the lens can interfere with proper operation of the camera. Use a blower or other means to keep the

Rotating the Monitor Screen Use the steps below to rotate the monitor screen. NOTE • While holding the monitor screen panel as shown in the illustration, you can rotate it 180 degrees clockwise and 90 degrees counterclockwise. • The monitor screen panel can also be rotated when the frame is closed. 1. Using the Touch Panel The monitor screen of the camera is a touch panel. This means you can perform the following operations by touching the screen with your fingers. Squeeze Holding your thumb and forefinger against the screen as you bring them together. Use squeeze to reduce the size of the screen image. IMPORTANT! • Never use a pointed or hard object to perform screen operations. Doing so can damage the screen. • The touch panel is pressure-sensitive. Make sure you touch the panel with sufficient pressure when operating it. First, charge the battery prior to use. The built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery of the camera is not charged when you purchase it. Perform the steps below to charge the battery before using the camera. You can use either of the two following methods to charge the battery. • USB-AC adaptor • USB connection to a computer .
