Handling Precautions Camera Care ¡ This camera is a precision instrument. Do not drop it or subject it to physical shock. ¡ The camera is not waterproof and cannot be used underwater. If you accidentally drop the camera into water, promptly consult your nearest Canon Service Center. Wipe off any water droplets with a dry cloth. 1 Getting Started This chapter explains a few preliminary steps and basic camera operations. Attaching the Strap Pass the end of the strap through the camera’s strap mount from the bottom. Then pass it through the strap’s buckle as shown in the illustration. Recharging the Battery For details on the battery, refer to the instructions for Battery Pack NB-2LH. Remove the cover. 1 Attach the battery. 2 ¡ Align the battery’s front edge with the battery charger’s index line.
