2.9 WARNING: Working in the vicinity of a lead acid battery is dangerous. Batteries generate explosive gases during normal battery operation. ADJUST THE DISPLAY BRIGHTNESS 1. Hook the tester up to a vehicle battery. 2. the tester defaults to the Batter Y test display. Press the FOr Ward button five times to get to the BRIGHTNESS display. 3. Press eNter and the display will show BrIGHtNess adJust . 6. GLOSSARY What is a SLI battery? these initials stand for starting, Lighting and Ignition, which are the three basic functions which a battery has to perform on all normal vehicles.
