CAUTION Do not install the machine near heating or an air conditioning unit. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Installing your Machine Adjusting the Volume You can adjust the monitor and ringer volume on your machine. The built-in speaker enables you to hear the dial tone, dialling signals, and busy tone. INSTALLING YOUR MACHINE User Parameters Your facsimile machine has several basic settings (User Parameters) to help you keep records of the documents you send or receive. For example, the built-in clock keeps the current date and time, and your LOGO and ID Number help to identify you when you send or receive documents.
