4. Remove the handset from the cradle and set aside. Turn the base over and align the four slots on the bottom of the base with the four hook- tabs on the mounting bracket. 5. There are eight programmable menus available: Language, Contrast, Area Code, Ringer Level, Ringer Tone, Day, Time, and Default Setting. Of these settings, language, local area code and ringer tone can also be set on the handset. 1. Language. Choices: 1 English, 2 Spanish, 3 French. 2. Display Contrast. CORDLESS PHONE BASICS CHARGE/PAGE INDICATOR When lit, this indicates the handset is correctly seated in the cradle and is charging. The indicator flashes when the base pages the handset. RECEIVING A CALL Check the display to see who is calling. Using the Handset — To answer a call you must press the TALK/callback button on the handset.
