Getting started Battery installation and charging Install the cordless handset battery as shown below. Once you have installed the battery, the screen indicates the battery status (see table below). If necessary, place the handset in the handset charger to charge the battery. For best performance, keep the handset in the handset charger when not in use. If you want to mount your telephone on a wall, swivel the mount bracket down so the telephone can connect with a standard dual-stud telephone wall mounting plate. If you do not have this mounting plate, you can purchase one from many hardware or consumer electronics retailers. You might need a professional to install the mounting plate.
