Installing Your Cordless Telephone Selecting the Installation Location Select a location for the XC630/633 to avoid excessive heat or humidity (as in a kitchen or bathroom). The Base Unit can be placed on a desk or tabletop near a standard 230/240Y AC outlet and standard telephone line socket, or mounted on a wall. Keep the Base Unit and Handset away from sources of electrical noise, (motors, fluorescent lighting). Be sure there is sufficient space to safely extend the Base Unit antenna fully. C

Installing the Telephone on a Desk or Tabletop ~~. ~ 9VDC INPUT JACK TEL LlNE~ 1. Place the Base Unit on a desk or tabletop, and plug one end of the Telephone Line Cord (supplied) into the "TEL LINE" jack on the Base. 2. Low Battery Indicator When the Battery Pack voltage level in the Handset is very low and needs to be charged, the BAIT LOW LED blinks. If this occurs while you are on the phone, a short alert beep will also be heard. When this happens, complete your call as early as possible, and return the Handset to the Base Unit for charging. Using Your XC 630/633 Selecting Pulse or Tone Dialing (Available on Australian Models only) Australian models can use either Pulse Dialing or Tone Dialing, depending on the local service. New Zealand models are Tone Dialing only. To set the Tone or Pulse Dialing, place the TONE/PULSE switch on the Base Unit in the proper position.
