GETTING STARTED Basic Setup There are four basic options that you will need to set up: AutoTalk, CIDCW (Caller ID on Call Waiting), Name Tag and Insert 0. CIDCW option can only be set by using Handset 1. If you try Auto Talk :On Name Tag :On to set by using Handset 2, you will not see these options listed on the LCD screen. (Handset 1 shows in the display while the phone is charging.) AutoTalk, Name Tag and Insert 0 options can be set by using either Handset 1 or Handset 2. Activating AutoT

GETTING STARTED Setting the Insert 0 This feature adds '0' or '00' to the number, when you receive Caller ID messages. The default setting for New Zealand is On. Selecting the Ringer Tone and Volume Base ringer on/off The ringer on/off switch allows you to set the base ringer on or off. If you set the switch to off, you never hear the base ringer tone. Transferring a Call Your cordless phone allows you to transfer outside calls from handset to handset; only one handset at a time can talk with an outside caller. The second handset cannot go off hook to listen to conversations or make an outgoing call while the other handset is in use. To transfer a call 1) During a call, press the delete/transfer key.
