Cordless Telephone Operation Preparing for Use 1. Place the HANDSET on the BASE UNIT for 12 hours. 2. After 12 hours, remove the HANDSET from the BASE UNIT. Before you can use your cordless telephone, you must charge the HANDSET for 12 hours. Failure to do so will require more frequent charging of the BATTERY PACK. Recharging the BATTERY PACK Recharging the BATTERY PACK The nickel metal hydride (Ni-MH) BATTERY PACK in the HANDSET can be recharged many times using the built-in charger in the BASE UNIT.
