INTRODUCTION The PROFOON PDX-1000 series DECT telephones are cordless tele- communication systems, based on the DECT (Digital Enhanged Cord- less Telephone) technology. The PDX-1000 comes with one handset only. The PDX-1020, PDX-1030 and PDX-1040 models come with multiple handsets. The PDX-1000 series DECT telephones can only operate with the hand- set(s) supplied. INSTALLATION 1. Connect the output plug of the mains adapter to the socket on the bottom of the base unit and the mains adapter to the wall mains supply. 2. Plug the mains adapter of the charger(s) (if supplied) into the wall mains supply. 3. Place 2 AAA batteries, observing their polarities, into the battery compartment on the (each) handset. 4. Slide the battery door(s) firmly into place. 5. Connect the telephone lead to the telephone socket on the bottom of the base unit and to the wall

MEMORY: The memory of each handset of the PDX-1000 series has a capacity of 10 telephonenumbers of maximum 20 digits each. RESTORE DEFAULT FUNCTION The restore default function performs the following operations on the handset: • Clear CID log • Clear Redial buffer • Clear Phonebook entries • Set ringer melody to melody 1 • Set ringer volume to 3 • Set receiver volume to 2 • Set flash duration to short PROCEDURE 1.
