After installing the battery, you can make and receive short calls, but replace the handset in the telephone base or charger when the handset is not being used. For optimal performance, charge the handset battery for at least 16 hours before use. Getting started Adding & registering handsets Before using a new TL76008 handset, you must register it with the TL76108 telephone base (purchased separately). The TL76108 telephone can accommodate up to eight cordless handsets. The handset provided with your TL76108 is automatically registered as handset 1. Additional handsets will be assigned numbers in the order they are registered (handset 2, handset 3, and handset 4 etc.). You can register a maximum of eight handsets. When first purcha

Appendix B Important safety information PACEMAKER PATIENTS • Should keep wireless telephones at least six inches from the pacemaker. • Should NOT place wireless telephones directly over the pace- maker, such as in a breast pocket, when it is turned ON. • Should use the wireless telephone at the ear opposite the pacemaker.
