Checking the Package Contents Make sure you have received the following items in the package. •Telephone •AC/DC Adapter •Wall Mount Bracket • Handset Cord •Seven Foot Line Cord • Handset Make sure you have a modular wall jack near the place you have chosen to install the unit. INSTALLATION Installation First Time Installation 1. Connect the adapter. Plug the large part of the adapter into the wall outlet and the adapter tip to the jack at the rear side of unit. (Use only 9V DC, 200mA, center positive Class 2 adapter.) 2. Connect the telephone line cord. A. Pause Button The PAUSE button allows you to insert a 3.6 second pause in the dialing sequence. This is particularly useful if you are con- nected to a PABX system where you must dial an access code (usually the number 9) to obtain an outside line. 1.
