Installation Before installing your monitor, place it in a convenient, well-ventilated location near your computer, ensure that power to your computer and other peripheral devices is turned off, and proceed as follows: 1. Remove the back panel, neck panel, then connect the blue monitor video signal cable to the back of the monitor. Tighten the screws on the end of the connector. Adjusting Picture Quality Prior to adjusting the picture, Compaq recommends that you wait 15 to 30 minutes to allow your monitor to reach maximum brightness.
