MAKE SURE YOUR FIREWIRE PERIPHERALS ARE NOT CONNECTED TO THE NEW CARD. 1) When Windows is finished booting, a dialog box should appear stating that the computer has located a “PCI OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller.” Windows will then prompt you for the location of the software driver.

Select the “Search for the best driver…” option, then click “Next.” 3) You will be prompted to select where you want Windows to search for the driver. Click next, as Windows will find the driver regardless of which boxes you check.
