RMC 7189 1U Rackmount System CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 Overview The Acnodes RMC7189 is a high-end single processor, 1U rack- mount server. The RMC7189 is comprised of two main subsystems: the RMC7189 chassis and the embedded board. RMC 7189 1U Rackmount System 1-2 Serverboard Features At the heart of the Acnodes RMC7189 lies the embedded system, a dual processor serverboard based on the Intel® IOH-36D + ICH10R chipset. Below are the main features of the embedded system (See Figure 1-1 for a block diagram of the chipset). RMC 7189 1U Rackmount System Inner Rails The motherboard chassis includes a set of inner rails in two sections: inner rails and inner rail extensions.
